Yes yes yes - the “new math” every1 hates so much is taught with “old math” so all kids learn a way they can understand 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

As a senior in high school.. I still have no clue what math was. This year I met an old style teacher and he explained it simply I’m good at math now.

I would take the 20 away from 60 and then take the 6 off from there. 60-20=40-6=34

Then they shouldn’t force kids to learn only the new way! N if their homework is done the “old” way n it’s correct it shouldn’t be marked wrong !!!

My problem with new math, is parents can’t help their kids if the textbooks and stuff don’t come home as well. Also, every child learns differently.

I agree but they are making it so it’s the only way they teach. I wish when teaching math it didn’t matter how you got to it, you just had show work

Ah, verbal dyslexia, it always stricks for the words we know but there's a hiccup in the signals from the brain to the speaking parts.
