My ideal itinerary for a 2 week Vietnam vacation. 🏯Hanoi definitely impressed me more than Ho Chi Minh City. Definitely recommend walking around the Old Quarter, visiting one of the nice cafes and trying their famous egg coffee. Visit the famous Chinatown and enjoy the best Bun Bo Nam Bo and Banh Mi in the area. Don't miss a visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda. 🏫Ho Chi Minh City is a big city with a lot of options to do. I recommend a half day tour of Cu Chi Tunnels, Bui Vien Street, Apartment 42, a half day Mekong Delta tour and a visit to the War Remnants Museum. 🏔️Sapa is one of the most beautiful places we visited during our 5 months of wandering around Southeast Asia. Being at the highest peak of Indochina with warm sunny weather and the most stunning views of all the rice terraces in this area was definitely the highlight of our Vietnam trip. 🏮Hoi An really has some positive vibes and a lot of interesting experiences to offer. Definitely don’t miss the bamboo boat tour, make your own lanterns, which are a symbol of this city and try the local specialty from the area, Cao Lau, which is pork noodle soup. Also, if you really want to buy custom-made souvenirs, get yourself some tailored clothes at one of the many shops around. ⛰️Ha Long Bay, if anyone is wondering if this very attractive tourist spot is worth a visit, in my personal opinion it is worth it, but only for a day trip. It was a great day with lots of activities and great meals on the boat. The boat was quite big and there were a lot of tourists, however, the place was beautiful and worth a visit. 🏝️Da Nang is famous for the nearby Ba Na Hills, which we successfully avoided. Instead, spend a relaxing day on a beautiful long beach without tourists. Save this if you are planning to travel to Vietnam for inspiration!
