As a former caseworker- I’ve seen a lot of fatalities caused by co-sleeping or things in their cribs (thankfully I never got one- we had a specific team for fatalities). Now I tell everyone about safe sleep even though I left the field.

Interesting they discussed the NICU, my NICU baby was put in many unsafe sleep positions, with blankets, on his belly etc and bc he was on a monitor

There is a lot of blind faith in the NICU machines to do their job. NICU sleep practices would make you scream

I follow a mom that has a diffuser in her son's room. I've told her the dangers of these and it's still there on his dresser.
