@nutrition._: Many who start bodybuilding often want to look lean so people see their hard work. In this post I explain how to cut properly. Cutting means eating less and trying to shed body fat end up lean while maintaining muscle mass. In this process, some people make mistakes that lead to ravenous hunger or severe muscle loss. It's important to cut correctly because it's the only way to achieve what you want. When you cut you should be in calorie deficit. It is important not to do it all at once, but to split it up. You should be in a calorie deficit of 300 - 500 calories and that over several weeks. It is important to look that you eat healthy to get the best out of it. Eat in the phase 1.6-2.2 g protein per kg bodyweight. So you can continue to train and keep your muscle mass or even increase and you get lean and lose bodyfat at the same time. Make sure you get enough rest. It improves your muscle recovery and you feel much better during the day. Sleep between 7-9 hours a day. Another very important factor is to drink enough water. It helps you to be full longer and helps you to burn calories. I suggest drinking at least 3 liters of water per day. Many people think that to cut you have to do a lot of cardio but that is not true. It is more important to workout 5-6 times a week and lift weights. Get more active during your daily routine and you will burn calories and not have to do the boring cardio. Do low intensity cardio, high intensity cardio can cause you to lose muscle mass. Do cardio 2-3 times a week for 15-20 minutes. You can also take creatine. Creatine has many benefits. To know more about it see my post about creatine. Take 3-5 grams of creatine daily. The key in the cutting phase is to be in caloric deficit in order to lose fat, gain muscle and show off your hard work hiding behind the fat layer. What is your opinion on cutting?
