I did this in my galley kitchen, bumped them out from the wall 3" & put cabinets on the wall 2. Every1 thought I was crazy until they saw it finished

serious question...so the base you created, you don't screw it in/anchor it down to anything? Just put cabinets on top and screw to the wall studs? thanks for the info
