Just drill a hole next to the actual draining holes, I did this cause I had the same issue. Never got water inside again since I did it. 5 min job!

Make sure to clean the drain holes behind the soft top they always get stock with dirt, that’s why ur yata got flooded

I had something like this happen to my mk6 gti n dealer and other sources told me it was drain plugs bc water would fall into car onto my clutch pedal

Try a can of compressed air in the drain holes. Usually they have “spider traps” and get clogged easily.

Either cold drill a hole or torch it and then drill it so the metal is a little weaker and easier to break
