@modernmannahealth: Feeling a sore throat come on? Have you ever garggled with apple cider vinegar? Lots of remedies online have recipes for diluting ACV and gargling which may work as well- but using straight ACV worked every time and took all the pain away. Definitely recommend gargling 1-2 tablespoons for 60 seconds each time (30 seconds at minimum). Viruses are inactivated at a pH of 2-3 when exposed and they lose their cellular integrity. Another alternative folks use is gargling with salt water, which has been shown to help kill viruses and ease a sore throat. (I’ve done salt gargles before but i think ACV was more effective for me, or else i was doing the salt gargle wrong). Let us know if you try this! P.S. to protect your enamel 🦷 swish and rinse out your mouth water then wait to brush teeth for an hour as any acidic liquid can soften the enamel and teeth brushing can become more abrasive. After checking in with a dental professional- this remedy will not ruin your teeth enamel if only using it in the short term- to gargle once a day for a few times during an illness.
