@carvedculture: The traditional Ghanaian African drum was hand crafted from solid chunky cedar wood and the top is made from unbleached goat skin. The djembe drum has an approximate diameter of 13" inches and is 65cm tall. Each drum has different wood carving designs and some have little to no carvings but have ridges on the drums base. As you can see from the sound demo, you can play this percussive drum with your hands but there are many different drumming styles and techniques. #djembe #africandrum #drumming #sounddemo
