Can’t tell sometimes if it’s my lack of gallbladder or the metformin 😂

The weird part for me was it wasn’t consistent. I would go days with no issue and then have one where I couldn’t move 10 ft away from a bathroom

Metformin didn’t have that reaction on me. I occasionally get cramps, but no diarrhea.

My FULL Itinerary + more details below!! 👇🏼 How to book the extended layover: Go to: https://www.icelandair.com/flights/stopover/ and you can choose your travel route. I was flying from Geneva to Denver and picked a 3 night stopover. You have the option to book from 1 nights to 7 nights on the layover. ✨Day 1✨ Fly into Keflavik Airport, pick up rental car/van, drive down the coast. Since I booked my car so late, I used a website called Northbound to look up all the available rentals in the area, my rental was through KONVIN. Once I landed at KEF airport, a shuttle was waiting for me and took me to the rental site. I booked the 2024 FIAT Doblo Basic Automatic. The rental came with 2 sleeping bags, a camp kitchen box, a cooler (only works on electric), and a heater (only works on electric). Rentals are a LOT cheaper if you know how to drive a manual!! Next, drove 3 hours to Vik Camping. Along the way I stopped for groceries (DON’T make the same mistake I did and end up at one of the most $$$ supermarkets, Hagkaup… Bonus or Kronan are cheaper!). I stopped at Seljalandsfoss waterfall and a few other side pulloffs with pretty views. Made it to Vik Camping (no reservations), paid for 2 nights, found a side spot, went to bed. ✨Day 2✨ Hit the road... Fjaorargljufur canyon (51 min drive from camp) Jokulsarlon (iceberg lake 2 hr 20 min drive from camp) Stokksnes (lupines + black sand 3 hr 30 min from camp) Diamond Beach MANY random side pull offs to see horses/sheep/pretty views Back to Vik Camping ✨Day 3✨ SEE THE PUFFINS @ Dyrholaey Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach Skogafoss Waterfall This day the weather was BAD so after seeing my final stops I drove to Reykjavik to see the city! I also had some work projects to finish otherwise I might have drove to the volcano or nearby hot springs. Rainbow Street Wandered into the shops/cafes in Downtown Camp @ Reykjavik Eco Campsite (easy online reservation) ✨Day 4✨ Early return to KONVIN rental and shuttle to the airport ✨COSTS✨ rental 3 nights: $392 groceires: $140 (bought extra for travel days and this CAN BE CHEAPER) camping: $67 parking: $25 gas: $176 TOTAL: $800 #icelandtravel #solofemaletraveler #icelandadventure #solotravel #backpackeurope
