They require premium grade fuel. Regular grade causes detonation that will lead to cracked pistons.

My L92 went 225K before low oil pressure gave up. Picked up a crate replacement and I’m still happy.

All the catastrophic failures were pretty much exclusive to the AFM models. L92 and L9H are solid.

I have a 09 yukon denali 6.2 luckily w/out the dod afm but had a tic that ended with #7 cylinder failing I pulled the headed had it machined 40000 mi later I'm hearing it again needs a trans 1st 6l80

My GMC had one of them after 3 engine failures I traded it in for a Ford and haven't had a problem since

Just had complete engine failure. On my way to the urgent care with my two-year-old who had cut his lip pretty badly. Left us stranded on the side of the road. 2022 Yukon Denali with 34,000 miles.

We had a 07 6.2 in a Yukon Denali XL, that thing was an absolute beast! Only ever had a fuel pump go bad, started getting lifter chatter on startup.

I have an 07 Escalade with the L92. You mentioned stalling on turns. On mine, it was the old, loose starter cable. Once replaced, issue was solved.

Our dept bought 12 Yukons with this engine from 2008-2012 I believe….. NONE are still in service today. They switched to sequoia’s and no problems
