@thehowsph: Exactly a year ago today, multiple cats have been diagnosed of Feline Panleukopenia Virus or Feline Distemper. Since none of the cats was vaccinated, the virus easily got to them and spreaded like fire. Even though the first cat who showed symptoms was brought immediately to the vet, the virus was already within the other cats. Within a week, almost 15 cats were infected and more within a month. Two cats died at home, four died while at the vet, some died after a month but thankfully the others survived. One cat was even confined at the vet for 21 days. What have we learned from this? All cats should be vaccinated! Although our rescues can't go outside our fence and don't have any contact with the outside cats, they still got the virus.
