@leadershipmel: Here Are 5 Leadership Strategies For Building Trust With Other Departments At the leader level - working collaboratively with other cross functional leaders is critical to the success of your department. Sometimes there’s someone who’s not easy to work with, but it’s a leader's job to lead building interdepartmental trust regardless of how the other people are showing up. Hi, I’m Mel - I’m an exec coach for pre-executives who want to be better leaders in their career. If that’s you - then make sure you give me a follow. Here are 5 leadership strategies for building trust with other departments. 1. Decide you want to value them. Make a decision to let go of all your negative thoughts and resentments, clean the slate and decide you want to value their role and focus on what’s working. 2. Find out what they need and give it to them. There’s a lot of low hanging fruit here. Find out where their pain points are and support them. 3. Celebrate their people. Let the leaders know how much you appreciate them and their people 4. Lead by example. Get your team focused on solving problems and building trust with the other department, and gently shut down any whining or complaining. 5. Assume innocence. You might hear something someone said or think someone’s throwing you under the bus. Rather than jumping to conclusions, just go and talk to the person with an open, understanding mind - and find out what’s going on. #leadershiptok #leadership #bealeader #leadershipskills #executivecoach #corporatelife #successincorporate #workrelationships #workingwithpeople
