Because it’s antibacterial. It fights off the bacteria that causes your acne. If you have hormonal acne it probably won’t work.

My dermatologist told me this over 10 years ago not tea tree oil but about dial antibacterial soap and vitamin e. totally works!!

The key is that these products are antibacterials. So it depends if your acne is hormonal, fungal, or bacterial. Understand your skin first.
