Used it till '20 with a R9 Nano, 8GB RAM and a SSD - perfectly fine for FHD Gaming and most games even worked well in WQHD.

i think for gaming, you need atleast 6 cores 12 thread for optimal performance but 4 core 8 thread would still run smaller games

It still hold up pretty well with OC, you can run well on FullHD everything you could expect from a GTX 1070 but don't go much further.
