Some people may be able to tolerate more and some people may need less to properly recover. A workout like this for example would have majority of people under recovering if they wanted to hit chest more than once a week and I would recommend training it twice a week if you actually wanted to prioritize chest growth. Push ups are really only going to be useful if you’re a beginner since once you can press even 60-70% of your weight for reps you’re able to do way too many push ups for it to be beneficial for hypertrophy. This guy would be a good example of someone who push ups are essentially useless for since he could likely do 25-30+ reps if he wasn’t fatigued.
