I have May-Thurner syndrome. Had a huge clot removed & 3 stents placed to keep the veins open. Thank goodness for Interventional Radiologists!

My sister-in-law had a cesarean and the doctor nicked an artery or vein in her abdomen. Never did a thing to anybody so she ended up with a clot from her hip to her ankle. It was very scary.

Vascular surgeon. May Thurner is more common than we think. But I’d recommend calling vascular, not IR. IR isn’t as good at peripheral work
