@moderatelyadventurous: Day 1 on the Rogue River! I was pretty nervous about paddling and getting to know everyone, which I really didnt need to worry. But overall, Day 1 is a big orientation day where we are getting used to everything - the new environment, dynamics, being wet often, and the rhythm of a river trip. It was still super fun with exciting rapids, side hikes, and rock jumping…. And the cherry on top was knowing I would be sleeping in a comfy bed with access to a shower at night. While I know there will be some nature purists out there, you just can’t argue with lemonade and homemade cookies waiting for you while in a remote setting. Heaven.
