@saltyvagabonds: Crazy this was just a short walk from the Navy Lodge! This is one of the things we chose to do with the kids in Hawaii…gotta keep these trips somewhat educational! Right?!😅 It was actually pretty cool because we made it to base lodging a few hours early and just walked across the street to it. We definitely feel like ford island is a super family friendly station with lodging The ticket office for the USS Missouri offered a military discount so definitely ask for that on your visit or try to snag your tickets ahead of time at the ITT office. There’s also options for a guided tour or to walk the ship on your own. There’s local venders with food & snacks as well as a gift shop. We didn’t know this at the time but this battleship has been featured in movies like Pearl Harbor, Under Siege, Battleship, Hawaii Five-O, and Godzilla vs. Kong. Just cool to be able to tie it together in a way that’s interesting for the kids too and keep it a little less on the heavy side.
