@redchenko_marie: Fisherman’s Bastion is one of my favorite places to visit in Budapest🇭🇺 It’s located in Buda part and if you plan to visit this place I’d suggest you to visit the Buda Castle first, take a hot chocolate and have a nice walk through old town to the Fisherman’s Bastion. Also it’s better to come in the morning since it’s a super touristic location and during the day/afternoon it’s really crowded. The Fisherman’s Bastion is seen as a super old building even though construction works were finished in 1905. Here people traded mainly fish, and the Buda fishermen in return protected a section of the fortress wall. Thus, the building owes its name to the fishermen, and although it is called a formidable bastion, it never had a defensive value. The direct purpose of the Fisherman’s Bastion is the architectural background for the Matthias Church. The Fisherman’s Bastion has been successfully coping with this role for more than a century. Don’t forget to save this location if you are planning to go to Budapest!🇭🇺 #mustvisit #mustvisitplace #mustvisitplaces #travel #visithungary #hungary #budapest #travelblogger #travelgram #travelling #traveling #map_of_europe #map #bucketlist #bucketlisttravel #travellife #traveltiktok #travelbucketlist #fyp #outdoorlife #outdoortiktok
