This is the exact definition I needed. But what happens if they don’t drink all the time so don’t think they’re alcoholic, but get the repercussions of DUI, arrests, jobs, marriage etc when they do?

Drank a handle a day from 18 to 25. Liver failed on my 25 birthday. Spent 2 months in the hospital and started drinking immediately after getting kicked outta rehab. Met my wife and found The Lord about a year later. I’ve been sober 2 years now. God is good and you can do it!
