May I suggest to make sure that both lenses are cleaned at least 1x annually. Dust will break the beam and cause OCD implosion😎

back in the day we didn't have those sensors, or bicycle helmets or food prep gloves. no one I grew up with had gluten or peanut allergies.

also If the light is blinking, the laser is not connected to other side which again is usually because laser is not level

Also, one is the sender and the other is a receiver. If sunlight hits the receiver at certain times of the year try swapping them.
