Many floors of many churches here in Europe are made with large slabs that resemble gravestones and I think they actually are.

Lots of older cemeteries have unmarked graves. People don't realize they are walking on them when they visit.

At my moms funeral, the workers shoveling dirt on her were standing on my grandparents. Soooo it’s pretty hard to avoid.

Where my mum is buried it’s definitely unavoidable… our graveyards are much different than the US. You have inches between graves.

Modern graves have vaults precisely because you can't avoid parking equipment on a grave to open the next one.

A 30,000ft view of all this….placing someone in the ground, itself, is kinda/sorta disrespectful. Hurricanes/tornados can disrupt the coffin…

This!! I’m in the Virginia Military Funeral Honors and it is impossible! We try our best to respect the deceased but it’s impossible.
