@epicgardening: Most people think dragon fruit tastes like a bland kiwi, but it's simply because they haven't grown it themselves. Like many fruits and vegetables, it is harvested unripe before it gets to a grocery store. The only problem with this is that dragon fruit does not ripen off of the plant, so the flavor is as developed as it's going to be the second that a farmer cuts it off of the plant. Growing yourself = experiencing it's true flavor potential.
