What I eat before a workout as a vegan personal trainer, part 1: Energising cacao buckwheat banana bread 💪 Pre-workout drinks suck, make this instead. INGREDIENTS  Wet: 3 ripe bananas  1 tbsp lemon juice  3 tbsp maple syrup or 3 medjool dates  2 tbsp soaked chia seeds  1/2 cup plant milk  1/3 cup melted coconut oil  1/4 tsp salt  1 tsp vanilla (optional)  Dry:  1 cup buckwheat flour (sub plain flour) 1 cup whole oats  1 tsp cinnamon  1 tsp baking powder  1/2 cup cacao powder  3 tbsp hemp seeds  Large handful of chopped walnuts (sub almonds) Decoration: Sliced banana Hemp seeds Sprinkle of sugar  Method: Pre heat your oven to 175 c  Mix the dry in one bowl, whizz the wet in a bullet or blender. Pour the wet into the dry, fold in and add the seeds and nuts. Mix until just combined, top with sliced banana and a sprinkle of sugar, then bake for 40 mins, or until a knife/toothpick comes out clean. Serve a thick slice with peanut butter and berries, about 60-90 mins before your workout.  Uni-lateral leg and glute strength workout: Do 4 sets of the following, on each leg, in the 8-10 rep range Warm up  Bulgarian Split Squats, forward lean (glute emphasis)  B-stance hip thrusts with pulses and ISO hold  Bodyweight high box step downs  Lateral lunges, dumbbell in goblet hold Cool down & stretch.  #workoutfyp #veganfyp #strengthtraining #preworkout
