@raedoescowsplay_: I felt really bad for these girls and i know a prom might not be a big deal in the face of a pandemic but what they were trying to get across to me is that everything totally stopped and life pulled a 180 and they didn’t know how to deal with that which resulted in a lot of stress. It’s really sad im just now grasping the stress of what it felt like for everyone to just drop everything because grew yup so accustomed to just dropping everything and going from active to at home for months at a time because we were in a new place. In a way my upbringing got me through the pandemic but in a similar way its made it very difficult for me to form connections with people. Luckily I’ve got my first cousins twice removed that moved into my neighborhood. They are all 3-6 years younger than me and they’re my world. We have homeschool in common so that helped forge a strong connection. Other than that i have very much become a loner but im working on pushing myself to step out of my comfort zone and make new connections. Wish me luck :) #recoveringhomeschooler #cowsplay #cowgirl #cowtent

I feel like my life improved in a lot of ways during the pandemic because of how introverted I was, but now Im feeling the consequences of it. My favorite shops shut down, and other things Im not gonna trauma dump about. It affected everyone differently but its all valid 💕

The one thing I lost was a weekly meetup for comic creators. As homeschooler, I had just begun to have peer friends at 32. That stung.

I had 3 weeks of working from home and lived with my best friend who was the only person I hung out with. I never felt it either and it feels weird.

no girlz that's not privilege what you went through is silent, slow, drawn out trauma that was so bad it was normalized for you.

I feel this in a way, always been a introvert even in school. Nothing besides being deemed essential and having to wear a mask at work changed for me.

That’s exactly how I felt. I was also homeschooled and I never felt bad that I didn’t get to go to prom or graduation.

I think it's scary how many of us were mostly unaffected by lockdown.

I loved the lockdown. yea, all the deaths were scary but literally everyone at school hated me and I didn't have any friends anyway.

I wouldn't call it privilege but you certainly can't miss what you never really had.

I didn't feel it because me and my closest friends worked "essential jobs." so the only thing that changed was how much TP we had.

I went to school and I was In the same boat as you. Barely ever talked to anyone and when the lockdown happened things went on as usual for me.

I’m similarly secluded. The biggest indicator I had for how much it affected other people was my neighbor across the back fence a few doors down…
