I consolidated desks in my house. had a gallon bag of used writing utensils. took it to open house and offered it to kids' teachers.

I don’t mind just giving a pencil but with 150 students everyday and abt 30 don’t have one I run out and have use my $ to buy more

I make them trade me something of value to them. Cell phone, backpack, AirPods, id card, etc. they get to choose the item

I put a fake flower on the end of my pencils and put them up on the back of the board with pencil holders. They return them when they leave.

I've done IDs and shoes, now I ask them to sign for it only because I'm more likely to get the pencil back in fairly good shape.

I came from a very unorganized household. At least I was at school. Please just give the kid a pencil. Decorate it so it comes back to you.

I have an old straw dispenser that I out sharpened pencils in. Free for students. Need a pencil? Take one.
