This man is a hurting father and I believe he knows more than he's saying. He is keeping the info under wraps and wants the people responsible to come forward! There are stages to grief, he's in frustrated anger mode now and I don't blame him!

the riddle here is "he didn't have to go up the steps" coupled with "cause of death was different". we can speculate, but that's all it will be until the trial unveils all evidence.
