Hmm actually they’re called corticosteroids. It helps reduce inflammation. The stress hormone is cortisol but is not the same as corticosteroids.(1/2)

Yes but if stress is what caused that inflammation you can treat the stress w like SSRI but that takes weeks. Inflammation need immediate treatment
