don't do this you'll ruin your wooden spoons wood is a natural antiseptic plus wooden spoons are coated in oil do not ruin your spoons by doing this

They were perfect before. They are meant to be “seasoned” like that. Boiling them took all the good out and now you will get wood in food.

that's what happens when you keep using the spoons without oiling them. the oil prevents the wood from soaking up food and protects the wood.
