That “I trusted you” completely broke him and stopped him from crossing a line he’d never crossed before. Especially, hearing it from an elderly woman probably reminded him of his old days doing elder law and helping seniors etc. Back then he built his whole reputation around gaining the trust of elderly clients, so hearing those words in that moment probably forced him to realize how far he’d fallen and what he was about to become. I love BCS and BrBa so much, I can’t seem to move on from these two shows 🥲💔
