@scibodytherapy: Replying to @simonenefdt What does it mean to be normal? When it comes to pain that is a tricky question. The perception of pain depends on multiple factors. Physical elements like enervation patterns, nerve firing sensitivities, and hormone levels can affect the signals that are sent to the brain. And once those signals arrive in the brain, we get to the gooey part of pain perception. How did you sleep, how much stress are you under, what’s your baseline pain threshold, do you have good coping mechanisms? All of these factors come together and make Pain extremely variable. And normal becomes a personal experience. ##pain##anatomy##painmanagement##womenshealth

I get pain during this time. it is so sore and have been told it's because of the cyst on there. usually 4 or 5 days of pain, getting worse then poof.

I feel it on my right not on my left. it's just pinch for me like a nerve ending on that side is just more sensitive.

I felt *nothing* when I ovulated until I got on the Mirena BC - even after my IUD, I continue 15 years later to have ovulation pain. It's *lovely*.

I didn't start getting ovulation pain until I had an ectopic pregnancy and my tube burst. Not sure why that triggered it.

Sad thing is most doctors don’t listen to you. They just try and prescribe meds and send you on your way vs getting to the root of the problem!
