@gothorella: You might want to think twice before grabbing thread from the thrift shop! š§µ . Lots of things can affect how long the thread will last including: sun exposure, moisture, the quality of the thread, the material of the spool (plastic > wood/ foam) ,and the thread material (polyester will last longer than cotton). .
