This has been actively disproven a number of times. REPTILES have skin that wraps their skeleton pretty tightly, just look at an alligator skeleton.

that's an overstatement, some fossils actually show not only bones but marks of flesh, headz hair, etc. So the reps might be quite close to reality

This sadly is inaccurate. When something decays it dosnt just turn to “dirt” it is the same material but dried ect leaving the overall shape intact
