in Germany you shouldn't stop for pedastrians crossing the road you're on but you should stop if you turn into a road that they're already crossing

I'd argue that waiting pressures the pedestrian into moving quicker that they don't observe properly. in this case she did, but often they do a run

I hate it when they try to cross whilst you’re waiting at a roundabout - on the dotted line. Isn’t it safer for them to cross behind the first car waiting?
