@cylovesfrogs: Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm (vermicelli noodles with fermented shrimp paste) NEEDS MORE HYPE!! 🦐🦐🦐 It’s such such a unique dish specific to Vietnam/Southeast Asia, and it was the very first meal I wanted to eat when my plane landed 🇻🇳 It’s a dish for people who don’t mind pungent, funky flavors (which just happen to be my personal fave). The main course happens to be pig intestines, but if that’s a little ~too much~ for you, there’s plenty of side dishes that are just as delicious. (: 🤭 Vietnamese cuisine is almost always served with fresh herbs & vegetables. The bitter, herbaceous notes bring out the great textures and flavors of any dish you’re eating! This dish is no different, and by wrapping the intestines in the tía tô (perilla/shiso leaves), you have a wonderful medley in your month!!
