Tip number 6 this Plastic Free July 🌿I’m sharing all the different ways i refill my storecupboard essentials with as little packaging as possible…. 1️⃣ I refill a lot of my essentials online at @itsallabouteco and they come packaged in paper (which I reuse for crafting before they make their way into the compost bin as browns) I find this really affordable for my budget, the range of options is huge and I love supporting small businesses like this!2️⃣ It’s pretty cool to see that more and more local refill shops are opening up around me - the closest one is @reedsrefill in Chorley which Mike tends to pop into when I’m working, a little further are @thereplenishery in Leigh @earthevolutionltd in Darwin and @omnomzerowaste in Southport. I also love to find refill shops when we go camping. Sadly as well as seeing local refills opening, I see them closing too so it’s important to support your local refill shops if you can 💚3️⃣ When I first started out trying to reduce my waste I didn’t have access to all the great eco businesses I do now and so what I did was just buy the largest amount of product as I could from the supermarket. This is bulk buying and I still do it with some products I can’t find plastic free (like cereal) as it means I’m buying less packaging overall and I make sure to reuse the packaging for something else. It’s also a good option if you’re on a budget as it will cost a lot less overall.Have you found your groove with refilling yet?
