in my old studio if you couldn't afford to pay for a lot of classes you got passed over for EVERYTHING even if they were a better dancer. I gave up dance because my family couldn't afford to take 5 plus classes

I did ballet for a year at a professional dance studio, and so naturally it was strict environment and one the things I hated was the balconies that the parents could look through the whole time
