@bee.jeweled.coop: I was actually immune to chicken math for the past 5 years 😳 There was even a time when I didnt want chickens at all. I thought after the 2 we had were gone, we’d go back to a life without chickens. Why? I didn’t know how to take care of them properly. I didn’t have a coop that was easy to keep clean. I didn’t know the tricks to using the right materials (note: hay is for horses and cows, not chickens) I feel like it shouldn’t have taken me this long to learn all the things that lend to clean chicken keeping, but it did. I guess I didn’t know where to look. Then I found folks here who truly loved their chicken friends and would share all their backyard chicken keeping knowledge. I am so thankful for them.
