@sooziethefoodie: After years of doing this I finally worked up the courage to make my own pork rinds. The process is pretty simple just time consuming. Everyone in my family loves these so I made them as a snack to bring home with me for the holidays 🥹 The most important thing to remember when making pork rinds is that a lot of the bacteria that will make you sick lives on the skin of the pig so be sure to sanitize and be extra careful when working with it. I started out by trimming the pieces into even squares then boiling for two hours in seasoned water. I seasoned with dried garlic, shallots, green onions, MSG, salt, and green onions. Once the pork rinds are almost jelly like and the water is a milky color I removed the rinds and laid out flat on a cooking rack to lower the temperature. Then heating the oven to 200 degrees and drying the skins out for 12 hours. Next I added corn oil to a large pan and heated it to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. I tried frying at every temperature and the higher the temperature the puffier the pork rinds get. Once they were fried I let them cook and then seasoned. It’s really easy that easy! I seasoned with 4 different seasonings- Buffalo ranch, caramelized onion, salt & pepper, and finally truffle salt. I vacuum sealed these for transport and will report back it they stayed fresh for the trip 🐷 #porkrinds #tiktoktaughme #easyeecipes
