Spicy vodka sausage gnocchi AD The spicy vodka sauce hype is real guys and what better combination than pillowy soft gnocchi and the new @HECK 97% pork chipolatas? Made with British pork shoulder, they provide a hit of protein and key B vitamins whilst taking this dish to another level when it comes to flavour. Launching on the 25th of Feb make in select supermarkets or via HECK's online shop (code EM20 for 20% off) You will need to serve 4 500g fresh gnocchi 1 pack HECK 97% chipolatas 2 heaped tbsp tomato paste 3 garlic cloves, minced 50ml vodka 1/2 tsp chilli flakes (or more to make spicy) 20g fresh basil 1 leek, diced 1 chicken stock cube 1 heaped tbsp half fat crème fraiche Dice the chipolatas and sauté in a large pan until golden, then set aside on a plate. In the same pan, sauté garlic, chilli flakes, and sliced leeks until tender. Cover with a lid for a few minutes to let the vegetables sweat. Stir in the tomato paste to the vegetable mix, cook for a minute, then pour in the vodka to deglaze the pan, scraping up any tasty bits stuck to the bottom. Add the gnocchi to the pan, giving them a chance to brown slightly, then pour in 350ml water and 1 chicken stock cube. Bring to a simmer, return the chipolatas to the pan, mix and cover with a lid. Simmer until the gnocchi are soft (roughly 5 minutes) and the sauce has thickened, stirring every couple of minutes.top up with more water to make more saucy if needed. Finish the dish by stirring in the crème fraîche, an extra pinch of salt and pepper, the garnish grated Parmesan and lots of freshly torn basil leaves.
