Their called house mouse. Mice usually make nests in your attic. So most of the time they usually are already in the house unfortunately

I think they’d throw a poison in the attic, mice will eat it and it will dehydrate them. They’ll leave the attic to get water or die and dry out.

so ours has the paper insulation in the attic and no trails were found. we didn't go up there. we both hate Spiders and creepy spaces 😂 but we know we have mice. inspector found nothing!
