Red meats (beef lamb bison etc) can be cooked to your preferred temperature. Pink in the middle is medium. Brown all the way through is well done.

You can eat beef rare it’s not harmful so for you it doesn’t really matter how long it cooks

beef is pretty flexible with cook times! so if you cut it open you can tell ny texture (feeling and looking) if it's cooked enough

You can touch beef to tell how cooked it is, basically the firmer it is, the more it’s cooked through
