It’s common sense. Do you need 4x4? No? Then don’t use 4A. Do you need 4x4? Yes? Then use 4A. No need to use 4A if you don’t need 4x4.

My dad drove his 2000 sierra in auto 4wd for 205k before trading it in still working and fine. You only see the broken ones.

My Tahoe has auto 4wd. I've never used it. It's 2wd til I absolutely need 4wd. And then I'll put it in 4h

I always wondered about that auto 4wd. When I had an 01 silverado i was in 2wd 99% of the time, didn’t see a need to be in auto. Great info!

Yes, you only put it in four-wheel-drive when it’s needed driving down the highway you don’t need four-wheel-drive

I’m Soo thankful I went with my gut and didn’t listen to salesman who told me Auto 4wd on my 2014 Silverado was fine to be left on at all times

Yet now that i own a 2010 avalanche i run it in auto. Even though i know better. Its heavy and wont move in snow in 2wd. New tires. Fluid change next
