@benjaminthebaker: Counting down my top 10 of 2022: number 9 Chocolate Crinkle Cookies (yield: 18 cookies) 4 oz (113g) butter 4 oz (113g) unsweetened chocolate ½ c (42g) cocoa powder 1 Tbsp (14g) espresso powder 1.5 c (300g) sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 c (140g) flour 1 tsp baking soda ½ tsp baking powder 1 tsp kosher salt (or 1/2 tsp fine salt) powdered sugar 1. Set a heat proof bowl over a pot of simmering water. Add the butter, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa powder, and espresso powder and mix until fully melted. 2. Remove from the heat and mix in the sugar. 3. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until combined. 4. Mix in the dry ingredients, stirring just until no dry flour remains. 5. Chill dough in the fridge for 10 minutes or until set enough to hold its shape when rolling in powdered sugar. 6.
