I’m a stay at home, work from home, homeschooling mom of two and as much as I love the idea of making a lot of our food from scratch- it’s not always realistic for me to be able to do so. I need recipes that are quick, easy, and my kids have to like them too. So once a week I’ll try a snack recipe and I’ll share it all- the good AND the bad because while I can try 10 recipes for one snack and only show you the best version, that’s not realistic. I want you to see what works and where the average person who maybe doesn’t develop recipes all day might fail (like I learned that you 100% have to make sure your graham crackers are all rolled to a similar amount or you’ll burn half of them). 🫣 I’ll rank them on: * Ingredient list: is it cost effective, and easy to acquire * Ease of recipe: can a beginner do this with little to no problems and is it something you can do quickly * Taste: is it good enough to pass the kid test The first snack i tried was graham crackers! I’d personally rate this a 5.5/ 10 I feel like they were fun to make, but easy to burn and the taste is definitely not that similar. It did make my kitchen smell insanely good but it’s a lot of work for not a lot of output. I might stick to store bought on these. -Ingredients: 8/10 (it’s basically pantry staples but it’s a lot of butter for one batch) -Ease of recipe:4/10 I had to do some troubleshooting as there wasn’t enough liquid, and having to roll the dough out and make sure everything was the same is definitely not as easy as it looks. Estimated time: 25-30 min. -Taste: 7/10 they’re good, but they dont taste much like store bought graham crackers and my kids weren’t that crazy about them. I’d eat them though!!😂🤷🏻‍♀️. What snack should I try next? #snacks #snacksforkids #kidfood #homemade #homemadefood #grahamcrackers
