@surryplace: This kitchen is almost done! Does it look amazing, or does it look amazing?? On this next phase I conditioned, stained and sealed the red oak butcher block counters. I used @minwax provincial, one of my faves. I honestly loved the natural wood too but in this design we are going for more richness for a “rustic” feel and the color will go with the floors. Then I installed a peel & stick vinyl tile in a lovely foliage pattern that goes perfectly with the earth tones color palette. The long term plan is to knock down the wall to open up the kitchen to the living room, so this backsplash was perfect to spruce it up without spending a lot of money. Only $60 for the tiles! All that’s left is the flooring and then my favorite part, the styling.
