I work for gm, I found a way, don’t take off the oil fill cap or dip stick. It will help reduce oil spill I hate those engines

You could loosen it a bit, it should stick out a little. then you just push it off the rest of the way with a pick

Last one I did I cracked it, took the ratchet off. Turned the extension by hand and you can do it without making a mess like that lol
