Shooting my shot. On the golf course and in life 🏌🏾‍♀️ Because that's what we do. We show up. We take the swing. We don't know if it's going to land exactly where we want it. But we take it anyway. Golf is honestly the best metaphor for the VA journey. You prepare. You position yourself. You take the shot. Sometimes it lands perfectly. Sometimes it goes into the bushes. But you walk to wherever it landed, adjust and take another swing. No one gets a hole in one every time. Not even the pros. Cold pitch didn't get a response? Adjust your swing. Discovery call didn't convert? Adjust your stance. Client ghosted you after the trial? Walk to where the ball landed and hit it again. The game doesn't end because of one bad shot. It ends when you stop swinging. And the best part about golf? Nobody cares how you got to the hole. They only care that you got there. Whether it took you 3 swings or 7 you still finished. Same thing in the VA industry. Whether you landed your first client in week one or month nine you still LANDED. I went from kayaking in Kisumu to golf at Windsor in the same week. From Lake Victoria hippos to Nairobi fairways. That's the life remote work builds for you. Random. Unpredictable. Fully funded by your laptop and your skills.
