@blossomandbranchfarm: Our farm didn’t start from a happy time in my life. I was suffering from trauma and depression. I was numb to everything, and triggered by everything. When we found our run-down farm, I felt the first spark of passion I’d had in a long time. Originally an orchard and home built by a local family whose son passed at a young age of muscular dystrophy, the property had been sold and neglected for over 50 years. It needed so much work, but with every weed cleared away I felt my mind and heart reopening. The healing power of nature cannot be underestimated. I’ve learned over these years how vital it is to appreciate and respect every piece of the ecosystem, “pests” and all. It’s my turn to heal my piece of earth. ❤️ gardening heals so many.
