Good luck with that bathroom. Mine had the same tile. It was backed with steel mesh and concrete. Added 6 inches to the room after we tore it down. 😅

Those pine needles as mulch is going to ruin the soil and make everything super acidic! Very few plants will be happy growing there now 😥

I would grab a couple marble or marble look tiles for the fireplace hearth

For the fireplace, go to a tile shop and ask if they have any scrap you can have for free! That’s what we did 👏🏼

The soil is now too acidic to plant anything, you didn’t add a gutter to where the water ran off the roof, and you painted over knobs/handles/ outlets
